FiberLight® Lights Up Baltimore Technology Park Customer Base in Northern Virginia and Metro Baltimore

BALTIMORE --(Business Wire)-- FiberLight (News - Alert), LLC, a leading optical transport solutions provider, announced that Baltimore Technology Park (BTP) has selected FiberLight to provide secure Ethernet capacity to connect BTP's data center with Greater Baltimore's Business District and the Equinix (News - Alert) Data Center Service Facility in Ashburn, VA. Equinix is considered one of the largest IP Peering locations on the East Coast.

FiberLight's Ethernet offering will provide BTP clients with a direct, affordable, low-latency route to Equinix.

"It's a win-win solution for Baltimore Technology Park and FiberLight," said Mike Miller, FiberLight CEO. "Connecting BTP to downtown Baltimore and Ashburn, VA allows us to extend our footprint, while BTP benefits from FiberLight's robust core metro network and our 24/7 network monitoring capabilities to proactively address any issues." FiberLight's secure 400-mile metro optical ring architecture in the DC/VA/MD region will enable BTP customers to further protect critical IT systems and stored data from natural disaster and unpredictable outages. BTP's customer base will benefit from dedicated connectivity to the major IP peering points, data centers and carrier hotels located in Baltimore, Washington DC and Northern Virginia at speeds up to 10 Gig.

FiberLight's LightSource Products will allow BTP's customers' access to a host of Major IP Providers, Media/Content Delivery Networks and WAN networks doing business in the Mid-Atlantic area, the United States and around the world.
