In this role, Ms. Elliott will oversee the company's global legal activities. She will report directly to Harald Braun, Harris Stratex president and chief executive officer. "Meena is a first-class lawyer who is very highly regarded. Her broad range of legal and business experience in a diverse group of industries will be a great asset to our company. During the last few months, Ms. Elliott has served as interim general counsel. She has served as associate general counsel and assistant secretary since the formation of Harris Stratex in 2007. Prior to her current role, she was general counsel for Harris Corporation's Microwave Communications Division. At Harris Stratex, she has played a key role in strengthening the company's legal review process, including establishing and implementing a strong business ethics program and advising on securities, financing, critical commercial transactions and human resources legal issues. In addition to all legal matters, Ms. Elliott will work closely with the executive leadership team to develop and execute on the company's growth strategy. Ms. Elliott has more than 20 years of domestic and international legal and business management experience in the private and public sectors. Prior to joining Harris Stratex, she was chief counsel at the U.S. Department of Commerce. She also has held positions at XM Satellite Radio and Energizer Holdings. She began her career as an attorney with Energizer, where she served as director, international counsel. Ms. Elliott holds a JD and a master's degree in business administration from Washington University in St. Louis. She also holds a bachelor's degree from Northwestern University.
